Some of the plans was that Larry would have been re-imagined in artwork resembling his appearance in Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded. He would be portrayed as the shorter Larry better known from Leisure Suit Larry LSL1SCI, 5-7 (but who specifically appeared shortest in LSL6 and LSL7 where he appears to be 3-4 feet tall compared to the women he meets). And any plot devices related to him magically changing his physical appearance to become a younger, sleek and tall "Adonis" would have been avoided.

:UPDATE: Replay Games reached out to Digital Trends to clarify series creator Al Lowe’s comments below regarding a Leisure Suit Larry 2 remake. Thoughts are already turning to what will come after the launch of Reloaded, but we’ve been assured that there’s no possibility at all of a 2013 release for Larry 2.

:ORIGINAL POST: It’s been a good long time since Larry Laffer got to dust off his leisure suit to have a good smutty time with game players. There have been games over the past decade to bear the name Leisure Suit Larry, like the abysmal Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, but none of them have been made by the man behind it all, Al Lowe. Come June, however, Lowe and Replay Games are bringing Larry back proper with the PC and Mac release of Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded. That HD remake of the original is just the beginning of Larry’s come back tour, though.

:Replay Games president Paul Trowe told Digital Trends earlier this spring that there was some contention as to what game to make after work finished on Reloaded. It was down to either an HD remake of Leisure Suit Larry 2, or the long lost sequel Leisure Suit Larry 8. It appears that Lowe got his way with the immediate sequel in the works, but that doesn’t mean the adventure game maker has forgotten about continuing the series. “Our fans deserve to see how Larry’s life plays out!” said Lowe, saying Leisure Suit Larry 8 is “absolutely” still in the works.

Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places): Reloaded (aka Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded 2) was a planned sequel to Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded by Replay Games.

Backgroudn

The sequel would have been a re-imagined adaptation and retelling of the original Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places).

One Replay Games developer noted:

Yeah, Larry 2 is the most poorly designed of Al's Larry games and the plot hasn't aged well. It might as well have been written as a new game with similar locations had it been remade. This had been considered after Reloaded was released. We also tossed around the idea of a Larry 4 or 8 if we could get enough sales from a smaller game in between.[1]
Josh put a lot of work into writing reactions, as he does with anything he's involved with. He even went as far as to plan out how much Larry would age in later games had we got to them.

Due to controversies with the producer Paul Trowe, Al Lowe and Josh Mandel quite Replay Games, and the the company closed.

It pains me to think of what could have been had it not been for the actions of the guy responsible for bringing Al out of retirement and the rest of us together.
