AngryFeminists
  • Larry 3 makes reference to feminism;
As we leave our hero, cavorting in the sand with his new love, we ask ourselves the burning question... Is women's lib really dead? 2 Is there still a feminist movement? 3 Is there a market for "Polyester Patty in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals?" ...or will Al Lowe have to write yet another of these Silly Sin-phonies?
  • Larry Reloaded has a game called Angry Broads that satires angry feminists raging against patriarchal society.[1]
  • Yep, we are talking about a guy who believes "Woman's Lib" is some male striptease joint in East Fresno. In fact, he's looking for the address so he can send them his resume. We kid you not.[2]

Behind the scenesEdit

Ever since the release of the first game in the series. The Leisure Suit Larry series has been targeted by feminists writers and reviewers in the media as being sexist, misogynistic, and anti-female rights (see Controversies).[3] Al Lowe has denied this over the years claiming that the series actually has a feminist message, and claiming that women equally like the games. However, he has also said that the series would not be 'politically correct' as fans would be upset, if he changed the games.[4]

Al Lowe includes these jokes on his Cyberjoke 3000 website:

As the radical feminist stood on the bus, a man beside her started to stand up. She angrily thought, "Another pig retaining the customs of patriarchal society by offering a poor defenseless woman his seat!" and shoved him back down. A few seconds later he rose again, but again she refused to let him stand. As he tried to stand for the third time, he meekly said, "Lady, would you please let me stand up? I'm already a mile past my stop!"
How many feminists does it take to screw in a light bulb? Three: one to screw it in, one to complain about how the socket is being exploited, and one to secretly wish she was the socket!
What's worse than a male chauvinist pig? A feminist who won't do what she's told!
